Ephemeral Love: Chapter 1 Part 1
“I’m never going to meet someone,” Casey wailed as she plays with her pasta. “Never, ever, ever...”
“Would you get a grip,” Sassy smiled sheepishly. “The whole restaurant can hear you.”
“I don’t care,” Casey said petulantly. “I’m hangover to sh**. I’m sure there’ll be no single men in here who would dare to date a drunken young designer who looks so haggard. I’m pissed off.”
“Dear, why don’t you finish your sketches, eat your portions and let’s pack up to go to Mood.” Sassy was busy doodling something in her sketchpad. “Dylan’s picking us at Mood by 5pm.”
“It’s easy for you to say things because you always have your Dylan. I never get a chance to see him without his fancy disguise covering his face and all that. I don’t care if he’s the Dylan Higgins; he’s still a human being not a God...” Before she finished her sentence, a young girl gave her a rose with a note.

Cassandra Collins felt so eager to meet this audacious man. The fact that he extolled her despite every bad aura she had that day, she felt he’s the man she has been waiting for after her 3 months breakup with her actor/vocalist boyfriend.
“See I told you, you’re creating a scene attracting yet another man who’ll give you a tainted heart like KC...” Sassy said as she packed her stuffs in a Balenciaga weekend bag. “Casey, I told you to collect yourself and now what, you’re in dreamland again writing the love story you want to have. I’m going to Mood now, buy my fabrics and go home.”
Cassandra chose to stay in their favourite nook, indulge the moment she felt loved again. It was weird, she felt pumped up to finish her sketches for the upcoming competition. She spent another hour eating two portions of Tuna Penne in white sauce and a large serving of French fries. She grabbed her sketches, pens and books, stashed it in her LV Speedy 30 and rushed to her unit.

Dear Diary- Part 1
As I was checking on with Facebook's news-feed, I came across someone from the past. A feeling of longing and excitement surfaced as I browse over his photo album. He never changed at all-- his chinky eyes and boyish smile are contagious. How can I forget him? He was my first love! Of course nobody knew about this, and I have no plans of confessing. And as I was enjoying looking at his photo, my joy was short-lived when the photo of his girlfriend popped up. I clicked a button to return to my page and I consciously imagined those days when we had our English class. It was year 2003 when I first met this guy. My mum encouraged me to attend a Summer class and so she enrolled me to a School that specializes in English. Being that person who possessed an exquisite eye for beauty, his pretty face and his lanky feature was not hard to notice. If I were to rate all the guys I have met and made friends with, RY is the most gentleman.
I will write another article about this mystery guy next time.

my ensaymada
Ingredients
Dough
• 1/3 cup refined sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
• 2 tablespoons water
• 1/3 cup butter
Sponge
• 1 egg
• 1 tablespoon refined sugar
• 2 tablespoons water
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 3 egg yolk
• 1 teaspoon instant yeast
Topping
• grated cheese
• melted butter
• sugar
METHOD
1. Mix sponge ingredients in a mixing bowl. Combine until blended and knead until dough is smooth. Shape into ball, cover wit damp cloth and let rise for 2 hours.
2. Put the dough ingredients except butter in a mixing bowl. Blend until well blended. Add the sponge and the butter. Knead until dough is smooth and elastic. Shape into ball. Put in a bowl, cover with damp cloth and let rise again until double in bulk.
3. Punch dough and divide equally into 8 pieces. Shape into balls, cover with damp cloth and let rise for 30 minute Roll out each piece thinly into 8 x 5 inch rectangles. Brush surfaces with butter. Roll into long rods and twirl into shape, locking the ends to seal. Place on greased ensaymada molds. Let it rise for 2 hours until doubles in size.
4. Bake at 325 F for about 10 minute or until light golden brown. Cool slightly and brush with melted butter. Top with grated cheese and sprinkle with sugar.
